Websites for service businesses across the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, from the town centre out to Norton, Thornaby and Billingham. Veltra Media is based in Middlesbrough and runs Stockton projects online.

How Stockton searches

People in the borough search with the name of their own patch.

Someone in the town centre types “electrician Stockton”, someone in Ingleby Barwick types Ingleby Barwick, and someone in Thornaby may never use the word Stockton at all.

Plenty of searches carry no town at all: “boiler repair near me”, typed on a phone. For those, Google leans on where the searcher is and on your Google Business Profile, so the website and the profile need to describe the same areas in the same words.

Stockton and Middlesbrough sit next to each other on the Tees, and many customers will book from either side of the river. If you take work in both, say so plainly.

Who we build for here

Borough businesses that live on phone calls and bookings.

We do not name clients here. Our websites suit businesses like these:

  • Plumbers, electricians, roofers and joiners covering estates from Hartburn and Fairfield to Ingleby Barwick, where most work starts with a phone call.
  • Salons, barbers, nail technicians and clinics that need online booking more than a brochure.
  • Cafés, takeaways and venues in the town centre, where opening hours and a menu matter more than anything clever.

Billingham

Web design in Billingham, a town with its own name in search.

Billingham is part of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, but its customers do not search as if it were. They type “hairdresser Billingham” or “boiler repair Billingham”, and a site that only says Stockton can miss them.

Billingham grew up around the chemical works that ICI ran there for most of the twentieth century, and process and engineering firms still work around the town. A contractor serving those sites needs a different website from a salon’s: the work you do, your accreditations and a quick way for a site manager to ask for a quote.

For businesses serving households, use the names customers use: the town centre, near Billingham Forum, or villages just outside such as Wolviston and Cowpen Bewley, wherever they are true.

What the site needs

What a Stockton website needs before Google shows it to the right people.

  • A service area that names real places you cover, such as Stockton town centre, Norton, Hartburn, Thornaby, Ingleby Barwick, Eaglescliffe and Yarm. Leave out anywhere you would turn work down.
  • Billingham named on its own if you work there.
  • A phone button and a short form near the top of every page on a phone.
  • The same business name, number and areas on the site and on your Google Business Profile.

Our page on web design packages for Middlesbrough and nearby towns explains what each build includes. To be found more often, add local SEO for Stockton and the rest of Teesside and a properly set-up Google Business Profile. If you miss calls while you are on a job, an AI receptionist can answer and take the details, and booking reminders and quote follow-up keep the work moving once it is in.

How we work with you

Based in Middlesbrough, working with Stockton businesses online.

Veltra Media has no office in Stockton or Billingham. We are based in Middlesbrough and work across the Tees Valley. Most projects run online: a video call, a written proposal with a fixed price, drafts to check, then launch.

Every package has a price before we talk: see the full price list. If you already have a site and are unsure what is holding it back, ask for a free website audit first.

Before you ask

Questions we get asked

Do you have an office in Stockton-on-Tees?

No. We are based in Middlesbrough, with no premises in Stockton or Billingham, and work with businesses across the borough online. We can meet in person around Teesside when that helps.

Should my website say Stockton or Stockton-on-Tees?

Both. Most customers type “Stockton”, but the full name is the official one. Use it in your page title and the short form elsewhere.

I’m based in Billingham. Do I need a separate Billingham page?

Not at first. If Billingham is your main market, lead with it on your homepage and in your Google Business Profile. A separate page earns its place only when you have Billingham-specific detail to put on it.

Can one website cover Thornaby and Ingleby Barwick too?

Yes. Both are in the same borough, on the south bank of the Tees. Name them in your service area and, if much of your work comes from them, where you describe recent jobs.

How long does a new website take?

Around seven working days for a one-page site, or ten to fifteen for up to five pages, counted from content approval.
